First newbuilt ro-pax ferry for China - Korea
FerryShippax found out that Huanghai shipbuilding has finally delivered ro-pax ferry HUADONG PEARL VIII on September 29, with some delay.
The vessel is operated by Rongcheng Huadong Ferry Co. Ltd. (Huadong Ferry) between Shidaon China and Incheon, South Korea.
The 34,722GT ferry was ordered in November, 2013 and built at Huanghai Shipbuilding, based in Shidao, China.
Measuring 196.27m in length and 28.6m in width, she can accommodate 1,500 passengers and 88 crewmembers. She has an intake of some 2,100 lane meters.
