Dear Subscriber,

Please find below the headlines of the news added to the Shippax website during week 30.

Photo above: Bye bye CALAIS SEAWAYS? With next week’s introduction of the Stena E-Flexer Class CÔTE D’OPALE, DFDS will withdraw CALAIS SEAWAYS from its three-ship Calais-Dover route. Completed as PRINS FILIP in 1992, CALAIS SEAWAYS is probably one of the most versatile Channel ferries ever built, having operated Ostend-Dover, Ostend-Ramsgate, Zeebrugge-Dover, Calais-Dover, Le Havre-Portsmouth, Boulogne-Dover, and Dunkerque-Dover. CALAIS SEAWAYS’s first appearance on the Calais-Dover route was as P&OSL AQUITAINE in late 1999, returning to the route as NORMAN SPIRIT in early 2012. DFDS hasn’t yet communicated on the future of the vessel. (Photo: Laurens Holthof)

Have a nice weekend!
