UK Government cancels remaining no-deal Brexit ferries contracts

FerryAs if the fiasco surrounding the UK Government’s no-deal Brexit ferries contracts couldn’t get any worse, comes news today that the Department for Transport (DfT) has cancelled its contracts with Brittany Ferries and DFDS to provide increased services for ‘essential’ freight cargoes on its routes between the UK and Europe. This latest move is expected to cost UK taxpayers GBP 50 million.
