The shipping company offers six services with the port of Malaga, three with Almería and another three with Motril.
Baleària begins to operate from today (1 April) as the successful bidder for all lines of public interest that connect with Melilla, until 31 March, 2023. Thus, the shipping company increases its weekly connections to the city to twelve: six with the port of Malaga, three with Almería and another three with Motril. With the aim of providing the best service to the citizens of Melilla, the shipping company is committed to two of its ships, which have been re-engined with dual engines that can run on gas.

Schedules

From Malaga, departures are on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday at 11:59 p.m. and on Sunday at 6:30 p.m. From Almería, there are three weekly departures: Wednesdays at 3:00 p.m., Fridays at 9:00 a.m. and Sundays at 11:59 p.m. Finally, from Motril the connections are on Mondays at 9:00 a.m. and Fridays at 4:00 p.m. and 11:59 p.m. It should be noted that the shipping company offers free bus service on Fridays both to the port of Motril (with departures from Almería at 6:30 p.m. and from Malaga at 7:30 p.m.) and from the port of Granada to the other two cities upon arrival. of the ship at 9:00 p.m.

Services and ships

The shipping company will operate these routes with two ships: the BAHAMA MAMA (with Almería and Motril) and the NAPOLES (with Malaga and Motril). It should be noted that both ships incorporate the shipping company's smart services, which include a free multimedia content platform, Internet connection, webcams in the pet-friendly houses, access via QR code or free WhatsApp coverage. These ships have different accommodations (seat, upper seat and cabins) as well as services such as a shop, bar, restaurant or children's area. On the other hand, both ferries have dual engines that allow them to navigate on gas and, in addition, have sensors installed to monitor fuel consumption and emissions in real time, within the framework of the Green and Connected Ports project of the European Union.
