American Cruise Lines adds three ships
CruiseSmall ship operator American Cruise Lines, Guilfort (Connecticut) has detailed its expansion plans, announcing on November 11 its commitment to add three newbuilds until 2018.
AMERICAN CONSTELLATION, with a capacity for 170 passengers, will enter service in May 2017, embarking on 10-night cruises along the U.S. East coast from Boston, Massachusetts.
A sister ship to the AMERICAN CONSTELLATION is also under way and is scheduled for completion in 2018. Meanwhile, steel fabrication has begun for a third ship which will be of a new riverboat design. The latter vessel will have a capacity for approximately 195 passengers.
All ships will be built at Chesapeake Shipbuilding in Salisbury, Maryland.
