CLdN and DFDS swap tonnage
Ro-roCLdN has as of 15 April acquired DFDS’s 2000-built, 2,475-lanemetre capacity GOTHIA SEAWAYS, to be renamed MAXINE. DFDS, for its part, has today (16 April) taken over the 4,096-lanemetre MELEQ, to be renamed ACACIA SEAWAYS.
MAXINE has been chartered back to DFDS for continued service in DFDS’s Baltic network during April-May and is expected to join DFDS’s new Calais-Sheerness freight-only service, scheduled to commence on 1 June. ACACIA SEAWAYS has been chartered back for continued operation on CLdN’s Zeebrugge-Purfleet/Esbjerg route.
