Eckerö Line's passenger volume passed two million for the first time

Eckerö Line passed the milestone of over two million passengers for the first time in 2023. The freight operations also grew significantly, as did Eckerö Line's market share of the total freight market on the Helsinki-Tallinn route. Among other things, FINBO CARGO’s renewed timetables contributed to the positive development of freight operations.

“In 2023, passenger volumes exceeded all our expectations, and we are very grateful to our customers and our staff. Our success proves that quality and our service are appreciated by our passengers", rejoices Eckerö Line's managing director Taru Keronen.

Eckerö Line's vessel FINLANDIA will be significantly renewed during docking 7 Jan to 8 Feb 2024. The renovation focuses especially on changes that reduce fuel consumption. During docking, the ship receives new rudders and propeller blades, the purpose of which is to reduce emissions by an estimated 6%. In addition, the ship's hull is treated with a special paint that improves the ship's glide in the water, which reduces the ship's fuel consumption.
