News in pictures: signing ceremony Toll Shipping - Jinling Shipyard
Recently, Jinling Shipyard and Australia's Toll Shipping officially signed the contract for two 12,000dwt ro-ro vessels (see news July 19).
At the signing ceremony, the owner said the company selected Jinling Shipyard from 19 yards worldwide. Important elements were the scheduled delivery, the yard's reputation, reasonable pricing and the quality.
Some more facts about the ships:
-Sea Highways (UK) provided the conceptual design.
-Length 210m; width 28meters; designed draft deadweight 12,000 tons; 3,000 lane meters; 250 MAFI / 700TEU as well as 60 small cars.
-Two advanced sulfide scrubbers.
-Optimized hull form of the ship, energy-saving devices designed to reduce sail resistance, reduce fuel consumption, to meet the demanding EEDI (energy efficiency design index for ships) requirements.
-LNG ready.
