CIUDAD DE ALCUDIA suffered a fire
The Trasmed ship CIUDAD DE ALCUDIA suffered a fire 1 August on deck number 5 while it was moored in the Port of Valencia, upon its arrival from Mahón, which is already controlled thanks to the prompt intervention of the VVFF of Valencia.
The reasons for the fire and its scope are unknown at the moment, but the company has already opened an investigation commission.
The ship was scheduled to leave the Port of Valencia tonight (1 Aug) to continue with her usual rotation and, unfortunately, she will not be able to do so due to damage.
Trasmed is taking charge of the passengers and the cargo that was to leave the CIUDAD DE ALCUDIA tonight, relocating the passengers to other ships as far as possible.
There are reportedly no injured. Five crew members have been treated for smoke inhalation, but have been discharged.
