ForSea is approaching 2019 levels
Growth, optimism and increased interest in travel are three key words that describe the current situation for Forsea. The level from 2019 of 7 million travelers is and ForSea feels strong confidence in the future.
ForSea has noticed a significant increase (+ 117% compared to June-Aug 2020) in “tura” trips between Sweden and Denmark. This increase is even higher than in 2019 before the pandemic. It also seems that the Swedish phenomenon "tura" has inspired the Danes who now to a greater extent carry out a "one-day cruise" from the Danish side. Weekend travel between Sweden and Denmark has also increased sharply (+ 87% compared to July 2020). This in turn has meant an increase in sales in both the shopping and restaurant areas.
Car travelers from Denmark to Sweden are now basically back to normal levels. On the other hand, the Swedes has not to the same extent returned to traveling by car across the strait, but prefers touring or day visits on foot in Helsingborg and the surrounding area.
