New integration optimizes Wasaline*s freight booking process
Wasaline’s freight capacity increased significantly in August 2021 as the new ro-pax ferry AURORA BOTNIA started in regular traffic between Vaasa, Finland and Umeå, Sweden. With more departures and greater freight capacity, the need for fast and smooth data flows between transport systems and ferry operating systems has also increased.
Wasaline and NextLog have co-operated in developing an integration between CarRes freight management system and LogiControl transport management system. Operators using LogiControl can now enjoy a stream-lined booking process for freight bound for AURORA BOTNIA.
“For our and Wasaline’s joint customers, this means a faster and smoother booking process with significantly fewer clicks and less risk for errors”, says Stefan Nyholm, CEO of NextLog.
“The logistics industry is continuously looking for new solutions to optimize their workflow. I’m very proud how Wasaline and NextLog have together built an integration that helps our customers improve their com-petitiveness and deepens our existing cooperation”, says Tony Ehrs, Freight Director at Wasaline.
“Thanks to the new integration, our cargo customers’ Transport management system can now communicate with our booking and check-in systems in real time. All parties have access to necessary data and manual data transfer between systems can be avoided. This new functionality helps us to optimize flows and gives our cargo customers new insight on how loads are handled in our ports”, describes Jennie Hinz, Analytics and Technology Manager at Wasaline.
