Positive development at ForSea and volumes similar to before the pandemic
ForSea’s record weekend in February is followed up in March with a continued rise and new record figures. With eased restrictions on both sides of the strait, the journey continues to be maintained. At ForSea, there is an increase in all customer groups, regardless of whether the trip is an excursion during the day or a transport.
The increased activity in society is making an impression on the transport sector. During the past month, ForSea saw an increase of 7.4% on the freight side compared to 2021.
The number of passengers now corresponds to about 90% compared with the normal year 2019. ForSea is preparing for the coming season and expects a continued increase in passenger numbers in connection with the Easter weekend and during the spring and summer period. To meet the requirements for the summer, 85 seasonal employees are currently being recruited.
Sales in the store in March were 50% higher than the normal year 2019 and continue to grow.
“The sustained positive development we are seeing obviously casts continued hope on the waves. We have fought our way through a pandemic and are really proud of how this was carried out. Now we are out on the other side and are met by positive figures linked to both travel and shopping on board. We look forward with confidence to Easter, which we hope will give us reason to celebrate new great results in the future ", says Kristian Durhuus CEO at ForSea.
