The renovated CIUDAD DE BARCELONA rejoins the Trasmed fleet
The Trasmed ferry, the Grimaldi Group shipping company, CIUDAD DE BARCELONA, has completed the improvement tasks and left the port of Naples this Friday for Ibiza, where it is expected to arrival this Sunday, to rejoin the shipping company's service, with a trip between Ibiza and Barcelona, to finally operate this summer on the Barcelona-Alcudia-Mahón line from Monday to Thursday, and Barcelona-Palma from Friday to Sunday.
The renovated CIUDAD DE BARCELONA has new generation scrubbers installed and has improvements to the lounges for passengers, the common areas, the seating area and the cabins, the restaurant, in addition to changing the name and banner .
Trasmed's commercial director, Miguel Pardo, pointed out that "we are very pleased with the reincorporation of the CIUDAD DE BARCELONA after passing through shipyards to carry out important rehabilitation works and the installation of scrubbers".
"We expect a summer season with many passengers following the trend of 2019, which will surely continue in this line next fall and winter," concludes Miguel Pardo.
The CIUDAD DE BARCELONA ferry has a capacity for 1,500 passengers, 600 vehicles and 2,100 linear meters of ro-ro cargo and reaches a speed of 25 knots, which makes it one of the best and largest capacity Trasmed ships that operate between the peninsula in the Balearic Islands.
