– Now it is clear that we are part of Norway's largest ferry company, and we can work more effectively with profiling and brand building, says CEO of Bastø Fosen, Øyvind Lund.

The Torghatten Group consists of the shipping companies Bastø Fosen, Torghatten Midt and Torghatten Nord. Torghatten has around 90 vessels and 1,200 employees, operating 50 ferry and express boat routes in Norway. Every year we transport 12 million passengers and 6 million cars. – This makes it possible to gather around common systems and routines for the entire group, such as a traffic reporting system and a common website, says Lund.

From 6^th of January, information about Bastø Fosen, such as route information and traffic reports, will be available at Torghatten.no.

– A common name can also help us who work in Bastø Fosen feel that we are part of a larger "we". At the same time, “Bastøferry” is an institution with a long tradition, so both we and the public will of course continue to use that name for the Moss-Horten association, says Lund.

Lund emphasizes that the company will implement the profiling change as environmentally friendly and rationally as possible, and without affecting the operation of the ferries. The ferries will therefore be reprofiled continuously during planned workshop stays.
