Grimaldi take 50% stake in TTT Lines - and eye-up Venice ro-ro port
Ro-roThe Naples-based Grimaldi Group has bought into Italian short sea operator TTT Lines taking a 50% share with Emanuele Grimaldi also confirming during the 20th Euromed Convention that the group is interest in securing a stake in Ro-Port Mos who operate Venice's ro-ro terminal.
TTT Lines, with vessels chartered for deployment on the Naples-Catania and Salerno-Messina routes, including the Grimaldi-owned, Visentini built ro-pax FLORENCIA, was entirely controlled by Caronte&Tourist Group which recently took the 50% previously owned by Tomasos Group. Now, following the launch of new routes between Genoa and Salerno and Bari-Venice, Grimaldi has bought half of the TTT Lines shares.
Grimaldi started using Venice in 2015 and is said to be interested at taking possibly a majority share of the ro-ro terminal from Mantovani Group.
