Baleària increases passenger traffic by 10% in the Strait Crossing Operation
FerryBaleària has increased passenger and vehicle traffic between the Peninsula and North Africa by 10% during Operation Crossing the Straits compared to the same period last year. From 15 June to 15 September, Baleària transported more than 1,400,000 passengers and 360,000 vehicles on its nine lines involved in the campaign.
During this period, Baleària has made more than 5,000 trips, 5% more than in the previous year's campaign, on its connections with the cities of Ceuta and Melilla (Algeciras-Ceuta, Almería-Melilla, Motril-Melilla and Málaga-Melilla), with Morocco (Almería-Nador, Algeciras-Tangier Med and Motril-Tangier Med) and Algeria (Valencia-Mostaganem and Alicante-Oran). To meet the high demand concentrated on these routes, Baleària allocated 12, representing more than a third of its fleet.
