How many lives does a (blue) cat have?
Hi-speed The 2002 Fjellstrand built catamaran BLUE CAT, operated by Blue Mar, has been sold for an alleged €3,300,000. The vessel then sailed to Barcelona, where she was loaded onto a freighter, believed bound for Korea.
Blue Mar operated this 300-passenger Catamaran for four months between Barcelona and Sitges, a few miles down the coast, but without success. The service was terminated in August of this year. Comments were made that the vessel would operate between Algeciras and Ceuta, on the Gibraltar Straights, but nothing came of this Project.
Comments have been made that Blue Mar have left a lot of debts behind, and it is unclear whether the sale proceeds will be used to settle those debts or not.
