Kombardo Expressen in Bornholm ticket cooperation
Transit agency BAT and Molslinjen's bus concept, Kombardo Expressen, are now joining forces in a ticket collaboration. This means that travelers with the Kombardo Expressen to Bornholm can buy an additional ticket, which opens up travel on the entire island.
A new collaboration between BAT and Molslinjen's bus concept, Kombardo Expressen, now opens up flexible journeys throughout Bornholm. For example, a traveler can get all the way from Copenhagen to Allinge from just DKK 149.
The collaboration between the public transport company and the private bus operator will provisionally run until the end of 2023.
"I see the biggest gain in the fact that there is cooperation between the modes of transport - and that the customers get a better product. At the same time, we spend a lot of time buying tickets, especially in the summer. Here, the expectation is that we can save some time and, in addition, get more customers in public transport", says traffic manager at BAT, Kim Kock-Hansen.
The collaboration gives all travelers with the Kombardo Expressen to Bornholm the opportunity to buy an additional ticket for DKK 30. With it in hand, a guest can take all BAT buses to the destinations on Bornholm with the Kombardo Expressen.
The Kombardo Expressen began as a fast route over Molslinjen's ferries across the Kattegat between Aarhus and Copenhagen. Since then, the bus route network has grown considerably. A similar ticket cooperation with Nordjyllands Trafikselskab is currently being tested. The trial has been running successfully since the beginning of July this year.
"After all, we are all working to get more people into public transport, and here Bornholm is helping to show the way for how our two businesses can be combined to the benefit of travellers", says Molslinjen's commercial director, Jesper Skovgaard.
The collaboration has just started, and tickets for BAT can now be bought on Kombardo Expressen's website. The tickets will also go on sale on Kombardo Expressen's app as soon as possible.
