VIKAND appointed healthcare partner to Storylines, a new concept in luxury residential cruise travel
Global healthcare specialist VIKAND has been appointed healthcare partner to Storylines, a new concept in luxury cruise travel.
Storylines is offering a unique residential cruise ship experience that is set to launch in 2025. Residents will live aboard Storylines’ NARRATIVE ship all year-round, travelling the world from the comfort of their own homes.
Vessels will be equipped with comprehensive medical clinics and services, staffed by qualified doctors, nurses, pharmacists, physiotherapists and nutritionists.
Storylines has appointed VIKAND to advise on the design and setup of its onboard medical clinics including the development and implementation of appropriate policies, procedures, and regulatory compliances.
“I am very pleased that VIKAND was chosen by Storylines as its medical partner,” said Peter Hult, CEO of VIKAND. “Our mission has always been to provide the highest quality and most cost-effective total healthcare and public health solutions possible. We understand the importance of the wellbeing of residents and crew because we live and breathe this everyday as an organisation.”
As experienced leaders in delivering healthcare and public health solutions to the cruise, offshore and commercial maritime industries, VIKAND creates customised medical service and healthcare programmes for a range of clients, resulting in improved risk management and decreased costs. The company will advise Storylines on appropriate biomedical equipment to have onboard and provide recommendations for the development of a full pharmacy and other advanced biomedical technology normally found in major shoreside facilities.
Storylines will also depend on VIKAND to source and train qualified medical personnel, manage electronic medical records, perform health inspections and maintain medical equipment.
“We’re pleased with VIKAND as a partner because they share our proactive approach to the health and wellbeing of our residents and crew,” said Storylines Chief Health Officer Dr. Brian Martin. “Their professional team will be invaluable in advising us on how to help deliver the highest levels of healthcare risk reduction.”
