TUI Thomson targets Caribbean for 2017
CruiseFor the first time TUI's British off-shoot Thomson Cruises will be basing three ships in the Caribbean including its newest acquisitions, TUI DISCOVERY and TUI DISCOVERY 2 which will respectively sail out of Bridgetown, Barbados, and Montego Bay, Jamaica. THOMSON CELEBRATION will complete the trio when moving to Dominican Republic home port of La Romana.
TUI DISCOVERY, built 1996 and previously SPLENDOUR OF THE SEAS, made a Thomson debut in the Mediterranean earlier this year with TUI DISCOVERY 2, completed in 1995 as LEGEND OF THE SEAS, due to join the TUI Thomson fleet next year.
The new Caribbean destinations and itineraries will include St Lucia, Grenada and Antigua, St Maarten and Martinique while Guatemala's port Santo Tomas de Castilla is introduced on new itinerary for TUI DISCOVERY 2 with trips from Barbados including calls at St Thomas in the US Virgin Islands and San Juan, Puerto Rico for TUI DISCOVERY.
Direct Thomson Airways flights now fly to a number of Caribbean destinations including departures from Cardiff, Doncaster Sheffield, East Midlands, Glasgow, Newcastle, Stansted Birmingham, Manchester and Gatwick.
